This sculptural archway celebrates the origin of tools, specifically hand tools.  These tools are the necessary precursors to all of the technological tools with which Sunnyvale is so closely associated.  Many of these tools are still part of virtually every household and are just as important today as they were at their beginnings. 

The archway, with its two ‘wings’ (railings) creates a distinctive space within the courtyard of this new commercial/residential building.
